Are you still unsure of what your New Year’s Resolution will be? If you’re looking for a way to stay jolly and give back this year, January is a great time to start because it’s National Mentoring Month. This initiative invented by the National Mentoring Partnership and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health aims to educate young people in various fields, and work with them in various ways. According to The University of Memphis, approximately 46.9 percent of children in Memphis live below the poverty line. We’d like to take this time to let you know of some organizations looking for mentors within the Memphis community, and how you can help.
