Whether your home office is where you work everyday or where you pay bills once in a while, it should be a space unique from the rest of your home. You may feel like you don’t have the space for an office but think again. Almost any corner of your house can be used in a way that will make your workspace feel like a place you’ll never want to leave. See some of our ideas below.
The Office Under the Stairs
Any space can really be utilized to create an office. A little nook under a staircase provides enough room for office essentials as well as some privacy. Even though there isn’t a door, the space is still intimate enough to focus on your work.
Less is More
A minimalist’s dream, an office without very many things but a lot of potential. A small space can feel cluttered if there is too much going on. Therefore, adding a desk with a few accents on the wall and the desk itself goes a long way. Stick with a black and white color palette for a more modern look.
An Open Corner
You don’t need to have a large extra bedroom space to create an office; all you need is a corner. Even a formal living room can work if you decorate the space accordingly. Sneak in a table, a chair, and a few other office accessories.
A Bedroom and Office Combined
Have extra space in the bedroom? Take advantage of it rather than just letting it gather dirty laundry or some type of other clutter. Use similar colors and design as your bedroom décor to keep everything flowing together. It might even be more of a retreat than your bed. We use the word "might" lightly.
